A downloadable game for Windows and Android

Beta

You're an intergalactic farmer on a quest to earn lots of cash (aka essence). To do that you'll need to upgrade, fuse and mutate your plants to unlock even better plants to upgrade them even more to... you get the idea.

I will try to keep updates save compatible but at this point in development save wipes will probably be common.

  • Infuse plants to increase their base stats
  • Fuse them together to combine their specials and create crazy combos
  • Mutate plants to get random stat boosts, but some have the trade-off of having random downsides
  • Roll for stats on your chips, providing bonuses to other aspects of the game

I'm assuming the game is no longer worked on but just incase just wanted to say my bonus ticks went to -0.2 and I can no longer gain bonus ticks

I haven't worked on it in a bit but I have worked on it past the patch here. I will probably come back to it eventually.

Were you offline for a really long time or do you know what could've caused that to happen?

I really like this game! Unfortunately my game got buggy after my 3rd prestige, 2 or 3 days in. I'll probably do another playthrough eventually. Would love to see a few quality of life updates for the interface, like the ability to delete more than 1 plant at a time. Good stuff 👍

Thanks, glad you like it! It got buggy? Buggy how?

Quality of life is something I'm always interested in adding so just let me know if you have any suggestions.

As for the ability to delete more than 1 plant at a time: it's something I think is needed but I'm not sure how to implement it, because I know if I bring back the delete toggle that used to be on the inventory then people will keep forgetting it's on and accidentally deleting their plants. There's probably a good way to implement it that I just haven't thought of yet.

On my 2nd prestige I started noticing there was a bug that let me dupe dark plants in my inventory by switching them with plants that were being infused. I only ended up with a 'better plant' once sadly. I tried, but I couldn't replicate this consistently, and this happened many times. I noticed some plants that had randomly changed their stats, and other plants that weren't giving accurate gains on harvest.  Also, once I finally had my chips fully upgraded, the gains weren't significant enough for the cost, so much so that I feel this could have been a bug. I spent a LOT of charges on chips, but had a difficult time getting anything beyond white rarity... To note, these all seemed to occur in the later parts of the game.

Some things that would have made my personal experience better:

-If the platform button were in a different location, so then I wouldn't have accidentally toggled the button and then unintentionally placed a new platform away from my other platforms. That held me back from my first prestige.

-Increased zoom. I did like the zoom in and out feature, but would have preferred more zooming as the limits caused a kind of claustrophobic feeling to me.

Just some of my opinions of course! Overall, I had fun, enjoyed the mechanics and progression, and would recommend this game to anyone interested. Certainly will do another playthrough once the grimoire update drops

Hm the bugs are hard for me to find and solve when it's that non-specific, but if you have a way for me to replicate any of them let me know and I'll fix them.

Chip rarities aren't bugged, but tiers weren't giving the bonus they should have.

Yeah the platform button should probably be moved to its own thing.

Zooming even further out? You can zoom out enough to easily fit 5x5 platforms which I feel is plenty, but I could definitely increase it if people feel it would be good.

Thank you, that's good to hear :)
The next update won't be the grimoire though, but a a kind of engineering/construction update with things to place other than platforms and such.

is it just me or did the web version just cease to exist?

Yeah sorry I had to take it down because the save system just stopped working out of nowhere. I had problems with it resetting saves between versions earlier, but I managed to fix that, but this new problem I have 0 clue why it's happening and I can't manage to debug it. I want to have a working web version up but I just don't know why it's not saving/loading properly.

ah i see. i found out because the browser version i had loaded just suddenly stopped working when i opened up my laptop, so i reloaded, and it was gone.

what do i do when i sadly deleted all my plants on accident at the start of the game???

Seems like a really in depth game, I liked it :D

Perhaps it could use some background music in the future. Either way keep up the great work!

Thank you, in depth is definitely my goal, next update is gonna add a whole new layer to make it even more in depth and tweak balancing a lot.

Background music is something that's been suggested before, but I never personally pay attention to in incremental/idle games so I don't know how common it is or what type of music is used. I can look into it for the next update though, see if I find some decent free song(s)

Wait, no more Web version? That's sad

(1 edit)

Yeah, sorry, I want the game to be playable on the web but everyone's saves being wiped every update makes the game unplayable imo. I want to fix it but it I haven't been able to so far.

Edit: web version back up

this might have something to do with me being on an ipad, but... i clicked a few times and now i am in the void.

I don't think WebGL supports mobile, at least that's what it says when I try it on my android, so you have to download it, but I don't have iOS support right now, sorry.

eh. most games on itch don't support mobile anyways.

interesting... it feels sort of like a clicker game without as much clicking

(+2)

Lmao yeah that's the goal with incremental games like this one. I don't ever want to make the game tedious and force you to click a whole bunch for some minor gains, the fun should come from watching numbers go up and making strategic choices that make them go up more goodbetterer.

HI looks great. an error message appeared when clicking a fusion tree with a plant and a plant on your curser (in chome).

Hi, thanks for pointing this out, I've fixed it, the fix will come with the next update.
